The development has been designed with sustainability at the forefront, aiming to achieve a BREEAM Excellent rating or higher, representing the top 10% of UK new non-domestic buildings in terms of sustainability and environmental performance.
The design proposals include high performance building fabric with enhanced insulation and air tightness, alongside 10% rooflights to the warehouse roofs to maximise natural daylight and reduce reliance on artificial lighting. Roof mounted solar photovoltaic (PV) systems, rainwater harvesting measures, and dedicated electric vehicle charging spaces are also proposed across the site to support lower-carbon and energy-efficient operation.
